Elegant Harp Productions, in association with The Monorail Society, present The Robert N. Broadbent Las Vegas Monorail, a spectacular DVD By David M. Ice. The Las Vegas Monorail DVD is our first widescreen production, filmed in Sony HDV High Definition 16:9 anamorphic widescreen. The Las Vegas Monorail DVD was recorded digitally for optimal quality and features stereo sound. Running time totals over 50 minutes. Bonus features include a Windows Media version of the main feature in full High Definition Television-HDTV (see below for system requirements). The Robert N. Broadbent Las Vegas Monorail: For the first time, go behind the scenes of monorail construction. See beams being manufactured off site, trucked to the construction site, and lifted into place in minutes. Go behind the scenes of the OMSF (Operations Maintenance and Storage Facility). Then follow the entire alignment of the monorail with beautiful views all the way from the MGM Resort to the Sahara Resort. Natural Sound: Most people believe all trains are loud. This footage proves that monorail is by far the quietest of all rail transit modes. Here and see the Bombardier M-VI monorail trains as they quietly blend in with the surrounding city environment at several high profile locations. Backwards: This unique tail cab view, sped up to the equivalent of 710 m.p.h., gives a unique perspective on the alignment and the challenges designers and builders faced installing the track and stations. The Ride: Do something that passengers aren't allowed to do on the monorail, ride all the way from one end to the other in the front cab. As a bonus, we'll even take you on the spur line all the way into the OSMF! Windows Media HDTV: The main feature of the DVD (first red paragraph above), is brought to you in Windows Media High Definition TV. Please note: System requirements for this feature require Windows XP, Windows Media 9 Series or higher, DirectX 9.0, 3.0 GHz processor or equivalent, 512 MB of RAM, 128 MB video card, DVD drive and 1920 X 1449 screen resolution. The Robert N. Broadbent Las Vegas Monorail DVD looks best on a widescreen television. If you have a standard 4:3 format television, the image will be condensed somewhat to fit your screen, unless you set your DVD player to view widescreen features in letterbox format, which is a standard feature of all DVD players. The widescreen letterbox setting can be accessed from your DVD player setup menu. The Las Vegas Monorail DVD price is only $20 for members, plus shipping. Visit the Monorail Store and order today! David M. Ice is a professional filmmaker with Oscar® and Emmy® nominations and is listed on the Internet Movie Database. He worked for many years in Hollywood as a sound editor/designer and was responsible for the sound for many television shows (including the last 100 episodes of M*A*S*H) and over 65 feature films. He has won an MPSE (Motion Picture Sound Editors) Golden Reel award for his work on M*A*S*H and also won awards from Eastman Kodak and the Phoenix Firebird Festival of the Arts for his film "Games". David is also an accomplished Harpist and has performed with many orchestras, and regularly plays for symphony concerts, musicals, and private events. His interest in monorails began with his first visit, at age 5, to Disneyland--the year the Disneyland-Alweg monorail opened!--and was instantly hooked. This is David's fourth production on the topic of monorails, all of which are available through The Monorail Society. Order your copy today through The Monorail Society's Monorail Store. |
