For many years, this area was where the ramp to the monorail station existed. The area is now occupied by the waiting line for the submarine ride.

As of 2009, The Disneyland Monorail is fifty years old, yet the sleek trains still catch the attention of park visitors as they silently glide above them. In what was one of Disneyland's most amazing days, June 14, 1959 marked the opening of the Matterhorn Bobsleds, the Submarine Voyage and the Disneyland ALWEG Monorail.
