Hitachi Footprint
Like the other Alweg-style monorails,
the guideway is constructed as a beam-on-column method. The beam
is .85m (33.5") wide and 1.5m (59") tall. In a dual-beam
environment, the distance between the beams is 3.7m (12.14') on-center.
The support columns are 30m (98.4') apart in some of the systems
and 20m in others. A newer arched beam design was designed for
the Kuala Lumpur monorail.

Hitachi's sleek Kuala Lumpur train and arched beamways.
Unfortunately, Hitachi lost the contract late in the construction
phase.
