Built for the 1999 Bundesgartenshau (Federal Garden Exhibition), this system continues to serve the park area. The Intamin system used 10 trains during the festival, but now runs only four. Garden festivals are every two years in Germany and Intamin has supplied several of them with their "People Porter" monorail. Special features include a very narrow guideway and trains that climb and descend on grades as steep as 20%. Thanks to TMS member Norbert Kuschinski for the photo and information. |
