Certainly one of the most sought-after and expensive collectibles, the Schuco Disneyland-ALWEG Monorail set was originally sold in the 1960's. We'll share just a few images here, but if you are really interested in this item, there is a web site devoted to the Schuco Monorail.

No batteries here! The Schuco was more of a model railroad than a toy. Current for the train comes from bars on the rail, just like the big boys.
