Urbanaut

Einar Svensson was once an engineer for Alweg during the construction of the Seattle Monorail. From the experience he gained with that system he has come up with what he thinks is an improved monorail system. He's named it Urbanaut. It consists of a concrete or steel box beam with a single rail on top for guidance and power supply. A prototype system was built in Incheon, South Korea. The system was abandoned due to poor construction by the contractor. Photos of the short-lived system can be found in our Special Features page.
