Monorail - Page 3 of 7
Pictures and commentary
by Kim Pedersen
Here's what the downtown area looks like at night.
Note the guideway is steel here and has cross supports, something
Hitachi uses for longer spans.
Looking down the length of the entire train. Access
panels in the floor are visible, they are directly above the load
bearing wheels of the bogies.
At each end of the train is a door and a mini-ramp
for the unlikely need for a train-to-train evacuation.
A little to the left of the door is our white-gloved
driver, keeping our train perfectly ontime with frequent checks
of the clock.
