The car body design is very similar to the previous Mark V trains. The cabs, color styling and interiors have been altered and improved considerably.

One excellent addition is the rearview camera views. Mark V pilots needed to move their heads around to get the right angle for a limited mirror view. Other views are available with a simple button push

In 1998 I had the pleasure of visiting the monorail shop behind the park, thanks then-monorail pilot Teri Lynn Wheeler. I took this picture of the zone map of the track alignment. The original 1959 one-station E-ticket 'ride' connected Zone 1 with Zone 13 with a sharp left turn. This gives a good appreciation for what a dramatic addition the Disneyland Hotel extension was. I'll refer to the zones from now on, for those of you that want to know where images where shot. Starting with the next page, we'll depart the park at Zone 1.
